  1. Jamming Issues

It can be incredibly frustrating to deal with a unit that keeps jamming, and you will not be able to get any response out of the system.

There can be many pointers that can lead to this situation. So, you will have to do a bit of troubleshooting on your end to figure out the situation.

One of the most common reasons why you might run into this issue is that you’re using poor-quality nails.

There is no point in going cheap and trying to save a few bucks on the nail when they can damage the nailer itself. So, you’ll only be complicating the situation further.

To fix this situation, you need to first remove all the power from the unit and then remove the bolts from the front to access the chamber. The cartridge will come out, and you can clean it properly after removing the nail by force.

Be sure not to use too much force, as that can also create issues inside the cartridge.

From there, you can follow the same process to put everything back in place and then check up on the performance of the unit. Hopefully, you will not be disappointed, and the new nails will work perfectly.

Similarly, you should also set weekly reminders to keep track of the unit’s maintenance.

  1. Noise Issues

The issues with the noise can be equally as annoying and can mostly be linked to the motor.

Most of the time, the motor will start to act up when you’ve been using the nailer for a long period without any breaks. Moreover, if you live in a hot region, that can also have an impact on the nailer.

You will not be able to get any performance out of the unit when the motor is heating, and you should just remove all power from the nailer and let it cool down.

Leave it in a shaded region for about 20 minutes, and then try using the nailer one more time.

With that said, relying on some lubricant might also help you with these issues. You have to make sure that proper lube is applied to the moving sections, and that will create a layer of protection.

The unit won’t get worn out, and the performance will be smoother.

So, be sure to keep track of all of these pointers when you can’t seem to get a good enough response out of the nailer. It all comes down to how you’re planning on addressing the situation, and keeping track of these points will have you sorted in no time.

  1. Driver Won’t Work

Next, there might also be a situation where the driver assembly will give out on you. This can be one of the more serious errors, but the fix is still simple. All that you will have to do is to get a new driver assembly and install that on your unit.

That problem mostly has to do with the nails you are using, and if they are not compatible with the nailer, you will have to face the problem since the feeder will not be able to feed the nailers on the barrel properly.

However, suppose the nails are compatible, and you are using the right size on them as well. In that case, you will also need to ensure that they are perfectly installed on the feeder if that is the issue.

They are getting stuck inside the feeder, which will cause you to have problems like DeWalt cordless nailer not firing, and aligning them right should get the job done for you.
