There is no doubt that DeWalt is one of the most popular companies that provide high-quality tools to their customers. Their products are oriented towards giving the user a comforting experience.

However, every now and then, users can end up experiencing issues with these tools.

Most of these issues are easy to fix as long as you’re sure about the basic requirements of the unit.

If you’re new to the market and can’t seem to get through the refinance, then going with the DeWalt customer care team is a good idea.

You can’t expect the unit to respond when you can’t keep track of the device maintenance. So, keep that in mind and seek professional support.

That way, you won’t have to speed hours of your time trying to adjust to the unit.

How to Fix DeWalt Bump Feed Not Working?

Just as mentioned before, there are certain issues that can pop up while using any kind of equipment. Similarly, the DeWalt bump feed not working is a pretty common issue that many users seem to face.

If you are also someone who is facing a similar issue, then this article is for you! Using the article, we will be explaining everything that you need to know in order to learn more about this in detail.

So, without wasting any time further, let’s get right into it!

  1. Checking the Trimmer Head

In case you are facing this issue, then one of the first things that we can recommend is that you check the trimmer head of the tool. It could be that there is something jammed inside the trimmer head.

To fix this, you will also have to check the string inside the head.

Start by aligning all the holes inside the tools. You should then be able to see a complete path to the head. Afterward, try sticking a three-foot piece of string inside the hole and center it.

Simply rotate the head, which should help in retracting the string. Make sure that you leave a few inches out.

Try starting the trimmer again, and bump the head. The tool should start working just fine. Keep in mind that if you have to use too much force, then you’re doing something wrong.

So, be a bit gentle with the system and adjust the unit accordingly to avoid further issues.

  1. Seeking Professional Help

If you aren’t confident about doing the previous step all by yourself, then you can try contacting a professional instead. You can either go to a repair shop or call in a verified professional instead.

In either case, you should have a better chance of getting your tool fixed.

Customer Support

Alternatively, you can also opt to contact customer support. In fact, we recommend contacting the support team if the tool is still under warranty.

  1. Getting it Replaced

If you are having a hard time seeing any results after trying almost everything, then the only thing left is getting the whole tool replaced. It could be that the device is faulty and in need of dire replacement.

In this case, you will have to get a newer unit.

Sometimes, this unit can get damaged during delivery. It is no secret that delivery can be a bit harsh on some accessories.

So, you’ll have to spend a bit of time trying to adjust the system. There is no point in sticking with a defective unit.

replace

All you’re trying to do here is to adjust the smart system accordingly. Make sure that there is no damage to the device, and any rough or damaged sections will mean that you got a faulty device.

Luckily, you are not liable for any damage. So, be sure to reach out to the dealer.

He will guide you through the issue, and it will take less than a minute to isolate the problem. If the problem has been identified to be with the unit itself, then you need to claim the warranty.

For the warranty claim, you won’t have to show anything more than proof of payment. From there, the dealer will take control of the situation. After verification is complete, you will have the new unit within the same week.

Prevention

The new unit will also start malfunctioning in no time if you don’t give any attention to its maintenance. Now, that might sound a bit tough, but you’re not left with many options here.

You need to check everything from the cleanliness of the device to the optimal power supply.

Issues with the power can damage the lifespan of the unit. So, if you’re not planning on getting a new unit every month, it might be a good idea to fix the issues with your power supply.

If everything goes well, and you’re taking good care of the unit, it will last you for decades.

  1. I have been fighting my Dewalt trimmer ever since they came out. I am on my second feeder head because of the same reason. Wire will not feed and breaks off inside the head. I spend more time restringing wire then I do trimming. Every tool I use is Dewalt but the Trimmer is getting of the list.
