Most tools is used in one place only. The Bosch Reaxx table saw isn’t like that at all. It’s light and compact enough to store on a shelf.

It rolls around well, and being portable makes it a whole different animal. You won’t be lugging lumber into the workshop to get cut; you’ll be taking the saw out where the lumber is. That comes in handy for smaller spaces like a job site, a garage, or even an apartment with little room.

Review Of The Bosch Reaxx Portable Table Saw

Portability and Workspace Freedom

It has the typical 15 amp motor found on full-sized cabinet saws, even for a portable saw. So that’s no loss in torque for the convenience of portability. It feature a motor that does not bog down as it pulls through dense material.

Motor Power and Cutting Performance

I was able to rip through 4×4 pressure treated lumber without any issue. No bogging down here either. Consistent power all the way through, no fighting your way through the wood.

Cut Precision and Build Quality

It’s a solid cutter The Reaxx makes nice cuts. It has a flat smooth table that are made of cast iron. That means your cuts stays straight.

If you’ve used a saw and had a warped table it will cause your cut to wander. Not so with the Reaxx. I cut some tests and the fence was parallel within fractions of a millimeter.

Safety Features and Dust Collection

And it doesn’t tear out wood or splinter the material cleanely on melamine and plywood. It’s also designed to be safe. There’s a way to keep your fingers out of the teeth until you’re ready to cut, and that’s by covering the blade until then.

The stand is sturdy and adjustable so it works well for regular use, although it do become unstable if pushed hard against. This isn’t meant to handle heavy force, so you must be mindful of what it can absorbs. It won’t hold large slab of wood very well.

It doesn’t collect dust perfectly but it’s good enough. The collector has a port that attaches to a regular shop vac. Most of the dust get caught in there.

But some of the finer dust still makes its way out into the air. So yeah, you’ll still want to wear a mask on longer projects. It reduces clean-up time which is nice, but it won’t eliminate any health concerns.

If you’re going to be using this thing heavily, you’ll still have to breathe through a mask.

Easy Setup and Assembly

It’s quick and simple to set up. You can go from unboxing to cutting in less than 10 minutes.

The directions is easy to follow, and all the parts come with tools you need to put them together. That makes it easier to jump into a project and get started without much friction. A lot of folks don’t buy tools because they feel like setting them up is a pain in the ass, but Reaxx is different.

Value for DIYers and Pros

It’s more expensive than most table saws you can carry around. You get what you pay for with brand name and Bosch engineering. For the cut quality and durabilty, it would of been well worth the investment for most casual DIYers.

If you are working as a pro carpenter then you may still opt for a cabinet table saw for your production work. This saw however would be in contention for any general usage needs. You don’t have to sacrifice big performance on a big footprint.

The Bosch Reaxx doesn’t require the corner of your shop or even a closet; it fits in a closet. That’s freedom and it lets you work with confidence. You’re not restricted to where you work so you can take precision to whatever project you’re working on.
