Top her off S-L-O-W-L-Y if needed. Add half a quart at a time. Then check again.
Continue doing this until correct. Slowly adding avoids over filling. Better to have added too little than too much.
You can always add, you can’t easily remove excess without having to drain the entire system. Keep the generator maintained. The generator is reliable but regular maintenance assure that it will remain so.
