There’s no mixing and matching of brand here. You can’t clip on some random generic accessory to your Quick Connect tool. This is a closed system.
But it’s a good one. For most users, the convenience are more than enough to make up for loss of flexibility. Most folks don’t use third-party heads when they know it’ll cost them the quick-release advantage.
And it will force you to commit to Black and Decker, which is exactly what the system is meant to do. If you have more than one Matrix tool in your collection it’s well worth changing over. You will save a lot of time and aggravation.
They lock solid, open easy and stand up to abuse. What used to be negotiating with a mechanical mechanism becomes a no brainer and goes smoothly. I can see someone new to these making a kit based off this system.
It’s slick and effective. And the Quick Connect system work as advertised. It eliminates frustration from swapping out accessories.
